Course Description
This course is aimed at staff who have contact with children and young people in a variety of roles with children, young people, their parents, carers or an adult who could pose a risk to children.
It is critical those who engage with children and those who have responsibility in their agencies for safeguarding children understand the threat and risk in these areas.
The aim of this course is to provide the participants with a greater understanding of Child Sexual Exploitation, Criminal Exploitation (including County Lines), Child Trafficking and Children who go missing.
This knowledge will increase the ability of those working in safeguarding to identify the risks, potential victims and perpetrators and adopt preventative measures.
It will also increase the ability to identify those at risk, respond to incidents and follow identified referral processes.
The ultimate aim is to reduce the harm caused to children.
