SAFE Associate – Cassandra Todd-Allan

Cassandra is a qualified Social Worker currently working within Children’s Services as an Assistant Team Manager. Cassandra has 24 years’ experience of working with children, young people and their families and this experience has also included working within Adult Safeguarding.

During this time, Cassandra undertook a variety of roles within Safeguarding and worked alongside front line teams, partners and external agencies to support children and young people when identifying their needs and ensuring that planning was implemented to achieve the best outcomes for children and their families.

Cassandra’s passion for delivering training began in 2013 when she explored her interest during her Social Work career and completed a teaching qualification enabling her to further develop the delivery of in-house training to a varied and diverse audience within different local authorities. Cassandra also extended her training and knowledge to Social Work students throughout their journey and learning.

Whilst continuing her practice, Cassandra had the opportunity to bring her skills and knowledge to an educational setting as Safeguarding Manager working alongside the Senior Leadership Team, Designated Safeguarding Leads and staff subsequently leading to Cassandra facilitated safeguarding training which included effective recording and PREVENT training.

Another of Cassandra’s biggest achievements was becoming Equality, Inclusion and Diversity Co-Chair in 2021.
