SAFE Associate – Lindsay Fox

“With a background in social care and the justice system but more recently many years in the voluntary sector leading on safeguarding, Lindsay delivers high quality, engaging and inclusive training to those from board level to frontline staff.”

 

Lindsay began her career as a residential social worker before working and training in youth work, in various social care roles, and working with the most serious and persistent young offenders in various inner cities for a number of years. She moved to the voluntary sector over ten years ago and has now worked on the frontline of service delivery up to and including CEO positions in small and medium to very large voluntary organisations focusing on mental health, education and children and young people. Alongside this, Lindsay now delivers a range of training and consultancy and auditing services to a wide range of organisations including in local authority, charity, health, education and housing.

In her spare time Lindsay volunteers for a national dementia charity as a safeguarding lead trustee for many years, recently stepping into an Honorary Advisor role for safeguarding and safer recruitment.

Lindsay understands and is experienced in safeguarding at a board, strategic and operational level. She is passionate about safeguarding, and wants to use her knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for the subject to benefit as many people as possible.

Lindsay now works as an independent trainer and consultant in safeguarding, safer recruitment and volunteering.
