SAFE Associate – Neel Parti

With a background in psychology and as a qualified social worker, Neel has defined his core purpose as: “I create a world of deep connection, through connecting deeply with myself, others and the world around me – whilst creating the space for others to do the same”.

Neel’s frontline roles have included working as a specialist fathers and parenting worker, a family intervention worker, assistant psychologist and child protection social worker. Neel spent five years at the NSPCC where he led on a range of innovation projects including ‘Sharing the Brain Story’, a programme designed to share the science of child brain development and the impact of early adversity and trauma across the UK, which is now embedded within the NSPCC’s National Training Programme.

As Head of Education at Future Youth Zone, Neel led the development of two innovative, flagship projects – Baby Zone and a complementary education programme for young people at risk of exclusion. As Director of Operations at Thrive at Five, Neel was involved in the early-stage set up of the organisation, which included establishing a strong safeguarding culture.

Neel is also an experienced facilitator, trainer and coach. During the early part of his career, he gained extensive experience in delivering parenting interventions and parent coaching in group settings and on a 1-2-1 basis. As part of Sharing the Brain Story, he developed and delivered the multi-agency professional training offer and ‘training for trainers’ to NSPCC colleagues and external stakeholders, across the UK. Neel is currently part of a team of associates delivering core safeguarding training (child, adult, domestic abuse) to probation staff within the Ministry of Justice and is also an Associate Trainer for the NSPCC.

When not at work, Neel can be found spending time with my family, friends and loved ones; eating and travelling; hiking and keeping fit; watching films and TV series; and taking photos!
