Director of Consultancy – Paul Northcott
Paul has an extensive background of working with both the public and private sector in all fields of child and adult Safeguarding. Paul has previously worked in the Police service and was the Head of Public Protection for one Force.
Since leaving the Police Paul has gained an extensive experience of working at a senior level within strategic partnerships, chairing meetings and delivering outcomes that meet national inspection frameworks and standards. He is currently a Chair of a Children’s Commission and an Adult Safeguarding Partnership.
Paul has worked with Home Office Departments to deliver improvements in relation to the operational practice of specialist police resources and internationally in relation to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.
In my more recent roles, he has managed and delivered organisational change working with amongst others, the Home Office, Health Service providers, Social Services, National Charities, National Faith Organisations and Premiership sport.
Paul specialises in policy and review work. He is currently the Chair and author of a number of Safeguarding Adult and Domestic Homicide reviews and can offer advice or support within many key areas particularly safeguarding the vulnerable, inspection regimes, assessing and the management of risk. Paul also specialises in the writing of policy and safeguarding structural reform.
