
SAFE Associate – Bernie Frain-Atallah
Bernie has over 20 years’ experience as a safeguarding professional working in early years, primary education and community as a Head of a children’s centre and DSL in 2 London boroughs and more recently as a trainer and consultant nationwide.
Bernie is committed to creating safer environments for children and adults at risk and her approach is rooted in a thorough understanding of statutory guidance, best practices, and the practical challenges faced by organisations. Bernie is an NSPCC trained trainer and a Safer Recruitment Consortium trainer and her facilitation approach empowers individuals and teams through engaging and impactful training sessions, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to recognise, respond to, and prevent harm.
Bernie continues to deliver a range of safeguarding training, including Child and Adult level 1 &2 (NHS Level 3), Refresher Training & School inset, Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Domestic Abuse, & Safer Recruitment. As a consultant, Bernie collaborates with organisations and offers tailored support in areas such as supervision, risk assessment, case management, and auditing ensuring compliance and fostering a proactive approach to safeguarding children and adults.
