SAFE Associate – Jackie Hodgkinson

Jackie is a highly qualified and experienced registered Social Worker and manager registered with Social Work England. Jackie has worked within Adult Services for both Social Care & Healthcare (NHS) for over 32 years and her last role prior to semi-retirement was working as a named Safeguarding Lead for Adults for a very large mental health NHS Trust.

Throughout Jackie’s career, she has managed complex cases, chaired high-risk multi-agency meetings, and has represented her organisation on both Safeguarding Adult Reviews and Domestic Homicide Reviews.

Through Jackie’s role as a named Safeguarding Lead, she has facilitated a range of safeguarding training within the adult safeguarding sector including Domestic Abuse and Domestic Homicide as well as Mental Capacity, Adult Safeguarding and Positive Risk taking.

Jackie’s training receives outstanding reviews with particular mention to her enthusiasm and ability to engage audiences. Alongside her extensive experience and in-depth knowledge, Jackie has a great sense of humour which helps establish a rapport when delivering training.

With a passion for a ‘Person Centred Care’ approach, Jackie ensures that both training and clinical supervision is based on the views of the person. The ‘Making Safeguarding Personal’ approach is embedded in Jackie’s practice in order to think wider and find creative solutions for the person who is at risk of abuse.
