Course Description

This course, specifically designed for SAFE by Yana Spencer – an international expert in gender-based violence, is aimed at anyone who needs to gain an introductory understanding of the issues surrounding gender-based violence.

The workshop will provide participants with an increased knowledge and understanding surrounding the different types of gender-based violence and the current legislation against GBV. It will also equip delegates on how to identify the signs of GBV including what action should be taken to safeguard through the relevant referral pathways/signposting. This will be achieved through a combination of case studies, quizzes, peer discussions and video excerpts.
